Swansea City linked with Slavia Prague’s Jan Bořil
According to reports in the Czech press, Slavia Prague’s Jan Bořil is believed to be in advanced discussions with Swansea City about a move to south Wales.
The fullback, 26, is a full Czech international and has been an ever-present for the sewn-ones since his move to Prague in 2016. His first appearance at international level came earlier this year when he made his debut for his country against Germany in a crucial World Cup qualifier against Germany.
Speaking to the website Seznam.cz, Bořil’s agent, Dalibor Lacina, admitted that he has already had contact with the Swans. “Swansea are looking for a right-back,” Lacina said. “[And] I can say that I am dealing with them regarding Honza.”
Lacina also let slip that he has previous fielded interest from Galatasaray in the summer, though there is nothing to indicate that the twenty-time Turkish Süper Lig champions are still tracking the Slavia fullback at this time.
Jan Bořil began his career at Mladá Boleslav, making over one-hundred appearances for the central Bohemian side before moving to Slavia Prague in 2016. He has also has spent time on loan with Viktoria Žižkov.
