Czech Republic squad for the European Under-17 Championships

Vaclav Cerny, the Czech Under-17 manager, has released his squad of twenty-two that will contest the upcoming UEFA European Under-17 Championships in Bulgaria next month.

For the first time in its history the tournament will feature sixteen teams and whilst the headlines were grabbed by the pairing of the Netherlands and England in Group D (a repeat of 2014’s final which saw the English triumph on penalties),¬†Czech eyes were focused solely on Group B where they were drawn alongside Slovenia, Belgium and Germany.

As well as attempting to win the Under-17 title for the first time in their history, this current crop of promising youngster will also be competing for the right to play at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup, which is due to be held later on this year in Chile.
